Lakeside Hospice has committed to participate in the We Honor Veterans program in an effort to build professional and organizational capacity to provide quality care for veterans, to develop and / or strengthen partnerships with VA and other Veteran organizations, to promote our organization’s commitment to serving veterans in our community, and to expand community awareness of the unique care needs of veterans.
Twenty-five percent of all deaths in the US are veterans. That is 1,800 people a day or more than 680,000 veterans every year. These heroic Americans deserve recognition for their military service – particularly at the end of life’s journey.
